Commissioning for Automation Conveyor Systems
I spearheaded the testing and commissioning efforts for automation conveyor systems in major companies such as Amazon, Target, and Walmart. The project aimed to ensure seamless integration and functionality of electrical control panels and equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations.
Main responsabilities:
- Conduct rigorous testing and commissioning of conveyor belt systems.
- Lead testing efforts for automation conveyor system projects.
- Provide guidance and support to electrical and mechanical installation teams.
- Ensure compliance with client standards and safety regulations.
Tools and Technologies Used:
- Allen Bradley Studio 5000 PLC.
- Various electrical control panels and equipment.
- Ethernet, EtherCAT, and Profibus networks.
- Compliance with NEC and NFPA standards.
Project details:
In this role, I conducted comprehensive testing and commissioning procedures for conveyor belt systems, including thorough checks on motors, speed drives, signaling lights, controls stations, relays, safety circuits (E-Stops), and various sensors (e.g., photoeyes, limit switches, encoders, interlocks, scanners, and scales). I utilized software tools to monitor inputs and outputs of Allen Bradley Studio 5000 PLC control systems. Moreover, I conducted audits on control panels to ensure compliance with client standards and safety regulations such as NEC and NFPA.
